The search is finally over as another Titan for Titans has been cast and it’s another fan-favorite from the DC Universe. Ryan Potter (Big Hero 6) has been cast as DC Comics’ Garfield Logan a.k.a. Beast Boy, one of the most iconic Teen Titans characters in the mythology. The official character description from Warner Bros. TV reads as follows:

“As a child, Garfield “Gar” Logan contracted the lethal disease, Sakutia, while on an African expedition with his geneticist parents. Treated with an experimental drug, Gar survived but not without developing some bizarre side effects. Along with skin and hair turning permanently green, the wisecracking, fun-loving Beast Boy is able to reshape himself into any animal of any size he can imagine.”

He will join his fellow co-stars Brenton Thwaites, Anna Diop, and Teagan Croft as Dick Grayson a.k.a. Nightwing, Princess Koriand’r a.k.a. Starfire, and Rachel Roth a.k.a. Raven respectively. Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly are set to recur as Hank Hall a.k.a. Hawk and Dawn Granger a.k.a. Dove along with Lindsey Gort as Detective Amy Rohrbach.

Season 1, which will consist of 13 episodes, is set to start filming in November in Toronto, Canada. Recently it was reported by our friends at That Hashtag Show that the DC series is looking to cast the comic villain The Acolyte as the evil force of Season 1.

Titans is one of the upcoming new shows that will be part of the new DC branded streaming service in 2018, with Young Justice Season 3 set to premiere on the platform next year. Let us know in the comments below what you think of the Beast Boy casting.

“Titans explores one of the most popular comic book teams ever. It follows a group of young soon-to-be superheroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In the action-adventure series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes that includes Starfire, Raven and others.”
