The Multiversity by Grant Morrison is also a great recommendation. It is a series of three chapters with multiple one shots highlighting different earths in the DC multiverse. The Flash history as well as references to Crisis and Flashpoint are referenced as well. The last issue has an amazing scene with Flashes from all across The Multiverse racing to fight the threat to the DC Multiverse. It would be great to see in an episode of season two. It can be a trippy read but worth it.
