  1. Mike is cool.

I loved the death and return storyline, that’s how I became a Comic Book reader.

Matrix is interesting, usually only Kryptonian Supergirls get in other media, but Matrix Supergirl is in the Superman Doomsday and Beyond Audio Drama, which I reviewed here.

I loved the BatmanVSuperman teaser. It rocks, I’m very excited. I talk a bit about my excitement for it here. Screw the haters.

Superman doesn’t have Superspeed in MOS, it’s not established in this universe yet.

I’d have to go to a another city to see an IMAX.

I love Superman Unbound, I’m gonna copy here what I said in the Email I sent.

What idea it covers that I find interesting is the notions that ironically because she grew up on Krypton she can understand humanity better. Because they didn’t have powers on Krypton, she knows what it feel like to be helpless.

We get to see her be scared, which makes her bad@$$ moments even more rewarding.

And Supergirl aside, it is my favorite of the Superman animated movies. Of course I haven’t seen Superman vs The Elite yet, or Brainiac Attacks. I hated Superman Doomsday, Allstar Superman was an interesting little homage to the Silver Age,

Lois is snarky, and I love how she Flips off Brainiac.

Superman strategy for defeating Brainiac at the end was pretty cool.

It’s also a pretty Libertarian film when you think about it. “You can’t control a living thing without taking away what’s Alive about it”-Zor-El.

My only criticism is the Planet they decided to place Kandor on at the end did not look Habitable to me, it looked like a barren wasteland.

Identity will be the first thing your covering I’m not familiar with yet. I’ve read one or two of the individual comics that made it up I think, but the whole story I haven’t.

    1. Mike is cool 🙂

Thanks for sharing your links! Never heard of the audio drama, but I’d be interested in that! And I’m with you on the Batman v. Superman teaser. So excited!

I always forget that we never actually see Superman superspeed in terms of running (like Faora did) in “Man Of Steel”, but I guess I just lump that in with his ability to fly really fast.

  2. Another great episode!

I usually pre-order all Warner Bros Animation productions, but hesitated because Brainiac Attacks wasn’t great and I was disappointed Johns had killed Pa Kent without a meaningful payoff (and I generally agree with Michael’s statements about Frank’s art). I think bought it after seeing Molly Quinn on a panel and her enthusiasm for the role and legacy (a Castle fan when they started dropping Firefly references in the second season).

I don’t really remember Unbound. My main recollection was the Lois Lane relationship stuff and the impression that there were some obvious animation shortcuts in places. Might rewatch this eventually.
