Hey guys, just wanted to comment on the judge ruling against the plea deal. I live in Ontario and I am a couple months away from my Paralegal license. (In Ontario, Paralegals can practice law in many of the same fields as Lawyers.) Anyway, when the judge made his ruling I was not surprised, to me it made sense. It was a softball plea deal and based on public perception, it had to be done. Most judges agree to most plea deals, but there are instances when they don’t. Its funny, when the judge made his ruling, I thought “and theres nothing anybody can do about it”. And then Moira chastised the lawyer. It really didn’t matter that he was the best as there was nothing he could do about it, sometimes the law just wins. So in a way it was a realistic take on that type of situation, just an uncommon one.
